Organic craft tea from Nepal.
This tea we are especially proud to have! Coming from a small tea garden of 75 hectares, spread in three divisions over the hills around the small town of Hile in Nepal, the quality of their teas are a serious competitor for Oolongs coming from Darjeeling region. Tea garden was opened in 2001 and named Jun Chiyabari, meaning “Moon-lit Tea Garden” in Nepali.

STORY BEHIND THE NAME
We have carefully selected a range of 5 pure teas and named them after 5 Nordic capitals; 'Helsinki', 'Stockholm', 'Oslo', 'Copenhagen' and 'Reykjavik'. We wanted to showcase pure teas that are of excellent quality, are perfect for food pairing, can be enjoyed both hot or cold and that have tasting notes reminding us somehow of the Nordics. We tasted literally hundreds of different qualities before deciding on our top 5.
HG from Jun Chiyabari reflects Copenhagen perfectly as it is both regal and has that feel of marram grass covered sand dunes.
100% NATURAL INGREDIENTS
This artisan tea was hand plucked from Hile-Dhankuta hills in East Nepal and crafted by a tea master. The technique used in crafting is unique to Jun Chiyabari and was taught by master tea makers from Japan and Taiwan. It is called Himalayan Green or HG for short.
Place 1 heaped teaspoon (3 grams) of tea per cup (250ml) into a teapot or loose leaf tea bag. Add filtered water at 80°C/176°F and allow to infuse for 3-4 minutes. Strain the tea and serve. Do not over-steep tea. Use more leaves for stronger tea.
