Organic loose leaf tea from China.
This is a Chinese tea that most resembled Japanese teas as it is also produced entirely by steaming method. This tea has a unique character of having a high selenium, a rare trace mineral, content (the content of selenium depends on the soil it was grown in). Only one-bud-one-leaf tea leaves picked from early spring season are used to make this wonderful variety.
This tea is especially well suited to be drank cold!
COLOR : jade green
TASTING NOTES : floral, sweet, vegetal
STORY BEHIND THE NAME
We have carefully selected a range of 5 pure teas and named them after 5 Nordic capitals; 'Helsinki', 'Stockholm', 'Oslo', 'Copenhagen' and 'Reykjavik'. We wanted to showcase pure teas that are of excellent quality, are perfect for food pairing, can be enjoyed both hot or cold and that have tasting notes reminding us somehow of the Nordics. We tasted literally hundreds of different qualities before deciding on our top 5.
En Shi Yu Lu reflects Helsinki perfectly as this tea tastes amazing brewed hot or cold, just like Helsinki is worth to visit both summer and winter!
