Organic loose leaf tea from China.
Tea cultivation originated in Yunnan and the region was named “the birthplace of tea”. Today, it is very hard to detect differences between organically and conventionally produced teas, given its long history and well developed production. Our Imperial grade of an organic Yunnan tea is a exception in the bunch, with its large golden-brown leaf tips and a well-balanced brew.
COLOR : copper brown
TASTING NOTES : sweet, spicy, slightly smoky
STORY BEHIND THE NAME
We have carefully selected a range of 5 pure teas and named them after 5 Nordic capitals; 'Helsinki', 'Stockholm', 'Oslo', 'Copenhagen' and 'Reykjavik'. We wanted to showcase pure teas that are of excellent quality, are perfect for food pairing, can be enjoyed both hot or cold and that have tasting notes reminding us somehow of the Nordics. We tasted literally hundreds of different qualities before deciding on our top 5.
Yunnan Imperial reflects Oslo perfectly with it’s slightly smoky flavor reminding of outdoorsy Norwegians hiking up in the mountains and grilling food over campfire.
